MARCH 16, 2015 | KETV TELEVISION, CHANNEL 7) Attention gardeners!

The Benson Community Garden says it has a number of plots available for those interested in becoming part of its gardening group. With the weather turning up, they hope to fill the spots by next week so gardeners can start their cool-weather crops.

There are 36 plots total, with two sizes available: 4’x 8′ and 4′ x 12′. The smaller of the two runs $35 a year; the larger at $45 a year. All gardening tools will be provided and a rainwater system provides for the plots.

The Community Garden is 100 percent organic and offers a “Neighbor Garden” that provides free fresh fruits and vegetables for people in the neighborhood. It also has a landscaped “Earth Stage” for musicians and demonstrations.
