Neighborhood Concert at Benson Community Garden Friday
Friday evening (May 10, 2020) Benson Community Garden will host a live music concert for people in the neighborhood. Nick Rucker is a U.S. soldier and country music songwriter. He uses his life experience and emotions to distinguish his gritty sound and meaningful lyrical content.
“We had two movie nights in the garden the past month to see if it’s possible to safely host events again,” said Kurt Goetzinger, founder of the community garden. “Both went off perfectly, and attendees were carefully spaced throughout the garden. We have plenty of room and feel very comfortable hosting this concert and will be careful to space out groups, both inside the garden and along the street.”
Attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a wonderful evening of live music on the garden’s Earth Stage. Attendees may bring their own food and beverages. Food will also be available for purchase from Johnny Riccos Brooklyn Pizza food truck starting around 5 pm.
